The Feb. '23 issue of Uncut magazine comes with a compilation called "Sounds Of The New West. Vol 6 15 Tracks Of The Best New Americana". There's some great stuff to discover there; Margo Cilker, Kyp Harness, Plains and This Lonesome Paradise amongst many others, but none are as impressive as Hal's strange, funny, wistful and sad "Thirty-Six Miles".
